I got the Ubuntu linux 6.06 LTS from the ubuntu website. But the usb keyboard is not detecting mouse is tetected is it a bug or configuration is wrong

Sorry there's been no reply before this. Chances are Ubuntu didn't detect the usb keyboard for some reason (although this is strange because it detected the usb mouse on my laptop). Have you tried reinstalling ubuntu or hooking up a ps2 keyboard and rebooting?

Actually the mouse is optical mouse(it is detected as USB mouse). Mouse is working fine. But keyboard is not. Even i replaced the optical mouse with the scroller mouse. Even then the USB Keyboard is not detected.

Have you checked your BIOS settings? They have to specifically be set for a USB keyboard or it won't work. Just a thought.

How to connect Ubuntu to the Internet through a broadband connection? I decided to give Linux a try, and I picked the Ubuntu variant. I have some problems with the Internet connection though. I have a broadband (modem-less) PPoE connection, and all the info needed in order for me to connect are the username and password (which I have).
