The system bus is divided into\nthree logical functions; the address bus, the data bus and the control bus.\nThe address bus specifies the memory locations (addresses) for the data\ntransfers. The data bus holds the data transfered. The data bus is bidirectional;\nit allows data to be read into the <glossary>CPU<\/glossary> and written from\nthe <glossary>CPU<\/glossary>.
