I was saddened by the news that Peter Graves passed away. He was best known for his role as Jim Phelps in the TV series "Mission: Impossible" and was an icon from my childhood. It has been over 40 years, since MI first aired and I recently bought the first five seasons on DVD. It didn't have the effects found in show of the next generation, but I found the stories to be well done (albeit occassionally somewhat far fetched).

"Good luck, Jim!"

"Good Morning, Mr. Phelps". Yeah. I know what you mean. I read this yesterday.

Just read that Fess Parker died today at the age of 85. So long Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone.

On cnn.com it said "Parker is survived by his wife of 50 years". Amazing!!!

Both Graves and Parker had been married for many decades. A tribute to a time when marriage was taken seriously. I think both these men beat the typical Hollywood stereotype and lived lives if integrity. I'm sure they weren't perfect, but I haven't heard that either was involved in any sort of scandal. I wish we had guys like these for our kids to look up to today.

These things always happen in threes. Actor Robert Culp dies in a fall outside his Hollywood home at the age of 79. He played secret agent Kelly Robinson opposite Bill Cosby in the 1960s TV show "I Spy". Rest in Peace, Robert.
